Friday, June 18, 2008, American Corner Baia Mare, at the Public Library in town hosted 47 students and 2 teachers of English from all over Romania for 4 hrs. They were participants in the TOEIC English Camp organized by Info Project in Baia Mare. All the students visited the library, then they participated in a quizz contest in English, on general knowledge. They were organized in 5 teams and had to look for information in the collections of the American Corner and helped by Mrs. Beverley Killeen, an English teacher, and Lia Sabau, librarian and American Corner coordinator.
In the end, everybody received a participation certificate and books as prizes.
